Our Story

West Chester has always been more than a place on the map — it’s a crossroads of people, stories, and shared pride. Founded in 1799 at the intersection of High and Market Streets, the Borough was built around four quadrants that still shape how we live today.

Our brand began with a simple idea: to celebrate those corners.

Each quadrant — NW, NE, SW, and SE — tells part of the story. From the courthouse that anchors the Northwest, to Turk’s Head Tavern in the Northeast where neighbors first gathered, to the university’s energy in the Southwest, and the railroad roots that built the Southeast — together they form one community.

We’re here to honor that history and the people who keep it alive. That’s why a portion of every sale supports the Chester County History Center, helping to preserve the documents, artifacts, and stories that make West Chester what it is today.
